It's just a long way home

I OOoed and awed at our beautiful, helpful males. "Thanks you two!" I beamed, inviting Prince to snuggle in next to me. Keer laughed, and snuggled in next to his mom, obviously wanting to be like Prince.

[Miley_xo]

Resting my head on Summer's shoulder, i joked and laughed when Keer copied me, his head only reaching to his mother's paws. "Oh Lavara, he shows promise as a hunter!"

[sora]

Keer look up at his mom, looking for a lick, because Summer had given Prince one. I laughed, and enjoyed the feeling of everyone I loved so close to me.

[Miley_xo]

Lavara planted a kiss on Keer's head, smiling proudly. There was a moment of silence and then Lavara got up, raising her eyebrows at Summer, giving a signal. "I'm gonna go. Keer is tired and i want him to get used to the Pride Lands ... i'll be gone for a few days, maybe" Lavara hugged Summer, licked my cheek and picked Keer up by the scruff.

I said my good-byes, and hugged Lavara back, whispering a thanks in her ear. After Lavara and Keer left, I looked over at Prince, an alluring smile starting to cross my face. "So...Lavara is going to be gone for a few days...I guess that means we have some us time?" I shrugged, laying my head in his mane.

[Miley_xo]

"Guess so, Summer" I got up, helping my mate. "We should go back to the cave, sweetie" Walking in the direction of our den, i waved my tail happily.

[sora]

I agreed, and allowed Prince to help me up. We walked through the forest, tall trees and shady ground. A couple of lions seemed out of place. I had no idea how I was going to do it, but I, err, we would have cubs.

[Miley_xo]

"So?" I murmured into Summer's neck.

[sora]

"What'ya thinking, Big Guy?" I wispered in his thick ears. Wind blew black mane into me, and breathed in the lovely sent.

[Miley_xo]

"Oh, i don't know" I answered, smiling alluringly and hissing huskily.

[sora]

Score! Look out cubs because here we come! I celebrated in my head, trying to not jump around like a little cub. I quickly refocused myself, and purred.

[Miley_xo]

"Possibly" I said, more serious. "I need to patrol the land first"

[sora]

I frowned, and slumped some of my weight on him. "Well, you patrol that land. I'll be on the cave waiting." I winked, and turned to the direction of our cave, my tail sliding under his chin as I walked away.

[Miley_xo]

I sprinted as quickly as i could around the forest and then the pride lands. I had to jog back to the Southern Caves panting and sweating.

[sora]

"Don't tell me you tired yourself. We've got work to do." I purred. I was laying in the darker part of the cave, the light reflecting of the highlight under my eyes. I purred, and rolled over on my back.

[Miley_xo]

I smiled, lying down beside. "I may have to have a sleep first ..." I trailed off, already snoring.

[sora]

I huffed, and walked to the other side of the den. I would wait. Days if I must.

[Miley_xo]

Snoring and dreaming. That's all. Dreaming of bright blue sky, fluffy clouds and boiling rain. I felt like i was falling. Falling and falling ... forever. I woke up, mane slick with sweat.

[sora]

I had notice the tossing and turning, and moved back over to Pronce, to comfort him. I licked his head, slick with sweat.

[Miley_xo]

I growled, getting up and shaking myself, eyes narrowed.

[sora]

"Prince, I--I you hade a bad dream." I said, backing up in case he was feeling aggressive.

[Miley_xo]

I growled, walking in circles around the den.

[sora]

"Prince, are you OK?" I asked, obviously worried.

[Miley_xo]

"NO!" I roared, swiping in Summer's direction. I missed her by metres and growled at her threateningly.

[sora]

Shock came over me, as large, sharp claws swiped out at my face, thankfully missing. What had happened!? All he did was sleep, and now he was trying to hurt me? I shook with fear.

[Miley_xo]

I snarled, eyes narrowed. I turned and sprinted off, snarling and growling at myself.

[sora]

What just happened!? I thought about chasing after him, but decided it was best to let him be on his own. But you know who I could talk to? Lavara! And she was in the opposite direction of where Prince ran off in. I peaked out the den entrance, and sprinted towards Lavara's den. "Lavara!"

[Miley_xo]

Lavara sat down in her cave, letting her little cub get used to the smells and things within. Her ears pricked and she frowned as Summer stopped, panting, at the entrance of her cave. "Summer ..." Lavara was shocked. "What's happened?!" She rushed to Summer, nudging her cheek in a quick greeting and bringing her inside.

Keer and Lavara were getting used to the cave when I appeared at there entrance. Lavara came over right away, and rushed me in. "I don't know." I said, a dumbfounded look on my face. I really had no idea what had happened. Prince was so unlike himself.

[Miley_xo]

Lavara frowned, concered. "Summer, tell me honey!"
