It's just a long way home

Trees rustled in the wind, rattling the dry leaves around. I sighed, and look over at Prince, who was walking with me. Man, was he perfect. Handsome, with a deep black coat, kind, and strong. I was honored to be on his territory. My days with him hadn't been long, but I was already in love him. I knew that a pride meant more females, but I was ready, so long as he promised to love me the most. 

[Miley_xo]

I stretched out, walking along-side my mate. I shot glances at her, smiling and nudging her playfully. "Were you hunting today, beautiful?" Standing in front of her, i nuzzled her and smiled as i licked her head. God, i loved her! "These past few days have been amazing, Summer" I hugged her.

[sora]

I walked alongside him, blushing under my fur. "Yes, I snagged a zebra, and an elk? It was very strange." I shrugged. I knew most anything was possible to find here, I mean, there were lime green lions roaming about! But I had never seen an Elk, just heard story's about them. Prince exclaimed how much he loved me, and I licked him, hugging him closer.

[Miley_xo]

"I think your my Queen" I whispered into Summer's perfect round ears. I smiled at her, hugging her tightly then reluctantly letting go.

Lavara walked in, swaying her hips. She was skinnier and looked radiant, her beautiful sandy skin glowing. "Summer" She smiled and nodded warmly and bowed to me.

[sora]

My heart skipped a beat when he said I was his queen. I licked him lovingly, and swayed my tail happily.

Lavara walked in, seeming much happier. I looked at her stomach, which was now far less round. She had had her cub. As if on cue, a little white cub peaked out from behind Lavara's legs. I smiled at them both.

"This is my son, Keer" Lavara introduced. Smiling and saying hello, i bent down to study Keer. He was a kind-looking white cub and was very mature looking. "He's very handsome, Lavara" Nodding, i got back up. Lavara thanked me. "Keer, this is Mommy's friend, Summer and her mate, Prince" Lavara told her son.

[sora]

Friend. I couldn't believe Lavara actually considered me a friend, after how mean I was to her. But I put it aside, and smiled at the sweet little cub. He had a fluffy white coat, a pure white. He was oddly serious.

K E E R

I looked around, at all the big grown-ups, and noted everyone's name. The pretty cinnamon red one was Summer, and the Black on was Prince.

Lavara smiled proudly as her son observed the pair. I grinned back at Keer, who was staring at me and Summer. Looking at Summer, i could see something spark in her eyes when she looked at cute little Keer.

[sora]

I turned my gaze back to Prince, silently asking for some of my own. I knew we were still in the process of getting to know eachother, but I wasn't asking for right now. I was perfectly fine with waiting a little.

[Miley_xo]

I looked down, mane falling over my eyes, knowing Summer's dream. "Lavara, he's very handsome" I complimented. Lavara nodded, thanking me again and then licking her son.

I giggled when mom's wet tung licked me.

The cubs happy cries did nothing to make me want a cub less. I knew they were work, but I wanted to do it. Prince read my eyes, and knew what I was thinking. But I wasn't sure if he wanted some as well, as he was sending mixed messages.

[Miley_xo]

"So Summer, how are you?" Lavara turned to the red lioness, grinning. Their past had been hard and cold but they were friends now, much to my relief.

[sora]

I looked over at Lavara again, an envious smile crossing my face. "I'm fine. You really trimmed down!" I teased. How I wanted to have what she had. But I knew in time I would.

[Miley_xo]

"Thanks! It was hard but at least i have good stanima" Lavara joked, laughing along. I smiled but secretly was studying Keer. He was so cute and Summer seemed drawn to him.

[sora]

I laughed along with my friend. I glanced back at Prince, seeing if he was watching. "You know, I was hoping you, and Keer, would join our little pride?" I said, in a sweet, and convincing voice. Now that Lavara had a cub, she might want some protection, or a cub sitter.

[Miley_xo]

"Really? I'd love that Summer! I'd also love some help with Keer!" Lavara nodded, laughing and grinning. "Is that alright with you, Prince?" Lavara asked. I nodded. "Of course, Lavara!" I laughed.

[sora]

I smiled warmly, and invited them to follow along with us as we walked. Keer seemed to be struggling, so I lifted him up, and placed him on my back. His sweet little self perched nicley between my shoulder blades.

[Miley_xo]

Lavara helped Keer onto Summer's back and i walked behind them, eyes fixed on Summer, staring at her. She was in heat and she was in good shape. "So Lavara ... would you like a cave anywhere? The pride lands? Or here?" I asked Lavara. "Oh, the pride lands please Prince" She nudged me, giving my ear a nip and then running to catch up with Summer.

[sora]

I was very happy that Lavara had agreed to be part of our pride. She was very best friend in the world, aside from Prince of corse. She ran to catch up with me, I slowing down. "Oh, sorry for not asking you before picking him up. I just wanted to help..." I sighed, looking to see if she was mad.

[Miley_xo]

"It's fine, Summer!" Lavara waved it away, dismissing it with an easy laugh.

[sora]

I sighed with relief. "So...is it bad?" I asked, tilting my head to her. "You know, being a mother?" I added, in case she didn't know what I meant. I was really hoping that I could be a mom, but I wanted advice from a veteran.

[Miley_xo]

"Well, it is at the start ... especially actually giving birth. But it's amazing, really. You get your own little bundle of joy" Lavara smiled softly.

[sora]

Lavara's words were reassuring, but there was still the factor of Prince. Keer squirmed, and almost fell of, but didn't, thanks to his moms super fast reflexes.

[Miley_xo]

"So, how are you and Prince doing?" Lavara asked, moving closer to Summer, lowering her voice.

[sora]

I frowned. We were fine, but I wanted cubs, and didnt know if he felt the same way. "We're great." I said, half lieing.

[Miley_xo]

"I mean, are you talking about cubs?" Lavara whispered.

[sora]

I nodded. "I want them, but I can't tell if he wants them too." I shrugged. We had only just met, but I could feel that we were meant to be. I would have to wait for him to know that too.

[Miley_xo]

"Well, why don't you hint?" Lavara asked.

[sora]

I nodded, accepting the advice. "I'll try that." I said, a smile crossing my face. Keer had fallen asleep on my back, and his warmth was amazing.

[Miley_xo]

Lavara stared lovingly at her son, curled up and snoring between Summer's should blades. She looked back at me. "So, Prince, would you like to show me my cave? Summer could watch Keer for me" I looked at Summer, knowing she'd love to.
