Claiming Some Land [open]

Prince.Male Lion.Black Coat.4 years.

I stalked along the ground, looking left and right and ahead. Checking out all the caves, i chose the biggest and deepest and left my scent. Raking my claws down the walls a few times and relieving myself outside the cave, i gave a satisfied nod and went off on the prowl, hungry.

A herd of samba deer was grazing nearby. I crouched low, black body buried in the long grass. Inching closer on my belly, I breathed deeply and smelt the mouth-watering odour of the deer. There was a big male at the front and i aimed my orange eyes on him.

Leaping and sprinting out of the grass, I gave the herd no time to notice me! Attacking from the rear end, i jumped on a female, and from there i pushed off of her back and onto the male, gripping onto his chunky neck. He bucked and kicked and fought me until sweat poured off of him, but by then i was clinging to his back. Kicking at his back leg, i broke it and he fell, grunting and screeching.

I sat and ate the male slowly, enjoying the beautiful taste and smell. Leaving nothing but bones, i got up, stretched and made my way back to my new cave.

Red Coat

Grass tickled the sides of my body, as I lye in wait for the heard to come near. I had my eyes on a male close to the front, strong, and large. I sented the air, and picked up the sent of a large male lion. *Never smelt you before* I hissed to myself, a smirk crossing my face. I quickly turned my attention back to my hunt, and focused in on the male. -inhale- I leapt into a sprint, cutting of the male from the rest of the heard. -exhale- I returned to crouching, and slowly walked circles around the now frightened male. Out of the belw, a black lion sprang onto the male deer, and quickly took him down. My expression turned angry, and slowly walked away, making sure that the other lion knew I was around.

I smelled the female as i was cleaning myself in my cave. I noted that i had never smelt her before and she was un-touched by other males. I raised my eyebrows and went out to a local stream. I took a drink then stood knee-deep, letting the water cool me. I spotted her. She was attractive, with a red summery coat and a slim figure. I tilted my head back, letting the sun soak in my mane. I roared my loudest, face up. Looking at her, i raised a brow and walked closer.

"I'm Prince" I said in my deep voice. I looked at the stream and growled. A fish was swimming around manically, a large pike. Leaping on the pike, i crushed it's heart between my jaws and brought it over. "My greetings" I bowed low and motioned for her to tuck in.

I could tell the male was intrested. The way he roared, and spoke. He seemed annoyed by the fish swimming around him, and I laughed. How much harm could a fish do to a lion? He cought it, and brought it over, as a gift, so to speek. I was still steamed about him hijacking my prey, but he didn't know someone else was hunting the same deer. He introduced himself as Prince, and I observed every inch of his black body. "Summer." I said, my copper coat glinting with mist from the stream.

"Summer ..." I nodded slowly, and then scanned the horizon. "Looks like your name suits the weather" I smiled. Sitting down, i looked at the fish.
"If your hungry, have the fish" I laid my big head down on my paws, looking up at Summer. I observed her red coat, and tilted my head to smell her.
No males. Or females. She was un-touched and wasn't in heat. I got up, turned to look at my den and looked back at her. "So, do you have a pride?" Asked I.

I giggled at his analogy. I could tell one thing right of the bat, Prince was a charm. He had so kindly given me a fish, and I ate it, though it only partially satisfied my hunger. He smelled and observed me, wile I did the same to him. It was a strange occourenes wile two strangers met. He had asked about my pride, I filling knowing that he knew I had no mate and pride. "No." I said, a SQLite trace of sadness on my voice. I wanted to be in a pride, very badly.

"That's a shame. Guess you'll just have to join mine" I shrugged, smiling softly, looking up at her. I was taking my chances with this female i had just met, but she was polite, beautiful and grateful and i liked her already. "I have territory already and with a pride ... It'll get bigger" Standing up, i walked slowly around Summer, stopping at her rear and sniffing her.
"Your beautiful ... agile looking ... polite ... good appetite ... good weight ... look fast ... your almost perfect" My tail 'accidently' grazed her side.

I tilted my head to the left, out of confusion. Was he falling asking me to be part of his pride?! I felt myself getting happier, like everything I had wanted was being given to me (which in a way, it was.) Prince was now walking around me, and the things he was made me blush. "I guess I will have to join your pride." I said, purring when his tail hit me.

"Guess so" I walked in front, signalling leading her to the den. I showed her around the den. It was deep, with a pit right in the back. "For bones and such" I explained. The cave walls were scratched and damp and there was no water. A few beetles were crushed by my steps. "This is our home" I beamed, sitting down as i watched Summer study her new cave. "Or you can have your own" I shrugged. I wished i had met more females, but one was good progress!

I laughed at his remark about my own cave. "Nah, I think I'll stay with you." I wished into his ear. My tail sliding under his chin as I circled him. The cave was big, and cool. I saw his scratch marks on the cave walls, and his sent marking the outside.

I nodded seriously. "What now, my dear?" I asked, curling my tail around my paws.

Lavara:

Walking through the isle of dens and caves, i heard voices and stopped, grunting under above the weight of my belly. I snuck towards the sound and my eyes widened. A handsom black male lion sitting talking to a pretty red female. It was too late to sneak away. I had been noticed.

I smiled slyly, and moved closer to him. My ears moved like satellite dishes, and I scanned the area. My eyes caught another Female, and I gasped, looking over at Prince. I stood up, and shook, then proceeded to the new female.

Lavara stood up tall, her belly straining. "Lavara" She introduced, looking at the male and ignoring the female.

Prince:

I smiled and said my name, then called Summer back. "This is my first pride member, Summer. Are you ... pregnant?" I asked tentativly, incase she was just overweight. Lavara painfully nodded, wincing as her belly moved. I looked at Summer, nibbling my lip.

I narrowed my eyes at the new female. I didn't care so much for females. And this one was pregnant. Instinctively, I moved closer to Prince, so that she could tell he was mine. The female, how said her name was Lavara, winced in pain from her cub kicking.

"Where's your male?" I asked, tilting my head curiously. "I was raped" Lavara shot back, frowning at Summer. I bowed my head. "Are you hungry?" I asked. Lavara hesitated then nodded. "I've not eaten for 4 days" She admitted. I looked at Summer then back to Lavara. "Well, I'd be only too happy to get you girls some thing! Sit and talk ... I'll be back within the hour" Giving Summer a lick and Lavara a smile, i bounded off.

Lavara:

I stepped warily into the cave, looking around. I lay down on my side, face sour from the tummy pains. "Summer" I nodded then sniffed.

I wished that Prince would have stayed, but his lick told me that he was coming back. The new female walked in, and sat on the opposite side of the cave, her face full of pain. I disliked the company of Lavara, but I wasn't about to be downright rude. She said my name, and I lay my head on my paws with a sigh.

"I know you hate me being here, but i can't help you have a polite male" I said grumpily. I stood up and walked closer, face dark with anger. I wanted to swipe at her face there and then but smirked rudely. "I guess i just need to ask to be a pride member" Shrugging, i went outside and peed, then came back, eyebrows raised.

[sora]

My eyes narrowed from her rude words. "I never said anything of the sorts." I whispered in a huff, some venom traceable in my voice. She left the den to relive herself, then came back with her eyebrows raised. "What? Am I supposed to act kinder just because your pregnant?" I said, crinkling my nose a little, just to show my teeth.

[Miley_xo]

"Didn't ask you too" I growled, teeth bared.

Prince:

I hadn't spotted any prey and had to go farther to get a meal. I roared, hoping it would reach Summer, telling her i would be longer.

[sora]

I rotated my ears, picking up Prince's message. I frowned about him taking longer. Lavara honestly coundnt see that I was trying to be kind. I stood up, shook, making sure that I was up in her personal bubble, then walked to the other side of the cave, and lay down.

[Miley_xo]

I stepped back, eyebrows raised. "Get out of my face!" I snarled. My cub kicked within and i crumpled to the floor in pain, moaning and grunted. For a few minutes i thought i was going to give birth but nothing major happened. "Imagine i gave birth here" I laughed cruelly, shooting smug glances at Summer.

I huffed, then continued to ignore her. I couldn't believe she didn't know I was trying to not be rude. She said something about giving birth right here, and I theres my head back and laughed. "Oh you better hope that you don't." I said, half laughing.

[Miley_xo]

"Are you going to stop me?" I said, voice quiet and low

[sora]

I bit my lip. Maybe I should be nicer? I mean, she is pregnant and all. I sighed, and apologized for my behavior. "Hay, look Lavara? Im really sorry about the way I acted. It's just, I finally had --everything that mattered to me. And then you show up, and I don't know? I guess that...well...I saw you as a threat."
